Zion Field Trip, November 26th. 
If you would like to attend our field trip and help chaperon on Tuesday, November 26th, please let me know by emailing me or sending me a note this week.  An adult lunch is $3.50.  Please inform me this week so that I can make lunch arrangements and make sure that we have ample room for those that would like to go with us.  Right now I have Mr. Coombs and Mrs. Shugart that are planning on attending with us.  Field trip permission slips will be due this Friday with the homework packet.

AR Assemby will be on Friday at 10:45.  Mr. Tyner will be here with a golden eagle as our special guest. We are also reading the book that he has written, Healer of Angels.

Root Beer Float Party / Thank You

Our class collected the most Box Tops for the past month and the P.T.A. provided us with a Root Beer Float Party last Friday.  We thank them for providing the Root Beer and Ice Cream.  Also, thank you for sending the Box Tops to school with your kids.

Thanksgiving Break  November 27th-December 1st.  There will be no school next week beginning on Wednesday for the holiday. 

New Student

We would like to welcome a new student to our class.  His name is Clinton Meagher and he is a triplet.  His sisters are in the other two 5th grade classes.

Happy Veterans’ Day
To those of you that have served our country, we honor and thank you for your sacrifices and service. We will be visiting the memorials across the street on Tuesday to pay tribute and avoid the crowds that will be there today.

Field Trips on Thursday and Friday

Thursday- We will be going to the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery on the SUU campus to see the Jim Jones Collection and go through the Natural History Museum.

Friday- We will be walking over to the Heritage Center to see the violinist, Jenny Oaks.

Math Tutoring
This Tuesday, November 5th I will be glad to tutor anyone that would like to have extra help with double digit division.  We are having the final test on Chapter 2 on Thursday.

Book Reports are due on Friday.
The book reports are due on Friday.  These are the books  that you received at the book fair.  The report should be one page long and include a summary of the story, characters, and settings of the book.
