Seussical the Play

We will be attending the play at the Heritage Center on Friday.  The play is being sponsored by our local Children’s Theater group.  We will be walking to the Heritage Center and returning shortly before lunch.  Please sign the permission slip in this week’s homework folder and have your child return it on Friday.  They are asking for a dollar donation.  If possible, please bring it this week. Their performances are fantastic.

Science Helpers

This week we will be doing some science activities on Thursday morning from 11:00-12:15.  If you would like to come in and help us, just send word back with your child and I will arrange a group for you to work with on that day.  Thank you

Back To School Carnival
On Saturday from 10:00-2:00 there will be a carnival on the lower grade playground sponsored by the PTA.  We invite everyone to come and have a great time playing games and enjoying the food.  This is the PTA’s biggest fundraiser for the year so we encourage your support.  We also want to thank the PTA for doing so much to make our school great.

Door Policy
All outside doors will be unlocked until 9:00 a.m. for student and parent access.  (All kidnappers are asked to use the front door by the office so that we can identify you with our cameras if you take a child we don’t want gone.) All doors will be locked at 9:05 so parents must use the doors by the office and sign in so that we can monitor people in our building.  We are sorry for the inconvenience, but safety comes first.

Newsletter
This newsletter will be in your child’s homework folder every Monday.  It does not need to be returned.  If you lose it, the newsletter is also posted on the school’s website.

Thank you so much for trusting me with your child.  We have an awesome class and I can tell that we are going to have a lot of fun too.  Thank you so much for your support and remember to call me if you have any questions or concerns.
